    The low mound of very narrow bluish foliage serves as a wonderful backdrop to the hundreds of vivid purple violet flowers (RHS 81A) that are produced in abundance during the spring, then continue through summer if the plants are deadheaded. This is certainly one of the most dramatic color forms in the new line of spiderworts.
