    We finally found seed of this gem on a dry woodland slope near the top of South Korea's famed Mt. Chiri. Similar to S. aconitifolia, S. palmata has the same habit, except that the leaves are somewhat less "shredded" leading to slightly larger leaf segments. S. palmata still possesses the splendid hairy "Cousin IT" like appearance when it emerges in spring.
