This selection of the popular Sedum spurium was received by our friend Crazy Ed Skrocki of Ohio from the Leningrad Botanic Garden. Ed liked the plant and sent it to Ray Stephenson, author of the Sedum book, who noted the wonderful dense growth habit and floriferous clusters of pure white flowers (unusual for S. spurium). The plant was officially named and published in the Sedum Society Newsletter in 2002. The tight mats of small, round leaves are topped with star-shaped clusters of flowers in July (NC)...a superb, easy-to-grow groundcover.
