Schizachyrium 'Chameleon' is one of the very few native ornamental grasses with variegated foliage. This amazing selection of little bluestem comes from French Nurseryman, Thierry Delabroye, who discovered it as a seedling of Schizachyrium scoparium 'The Blues'. The glaucous foliage is edged with a standout creamy border, reducing its size to 18" tall in foliage and 2' tall in flower. As the weather cools, the foliage also takes on a reddish pink overlay...scrumptious! For those who'd prefer not to mangle the name vocally, try saying Skizzy-carry-um.
