From Illinois's Don Boehm comes a selection of the native little bluestem, which makes a compact 30" tall clump of blue-green foliage, that turns shades of copper, beige, orange, and mahogany in fall. Schizachyrium 'Carousel' was also selected because its stems remain sturdy through the winter months...even in Illinois.
