Sarracenia x rehderi is a naturally occurring pitcher plant hybrid from North Carolina, that combines the best attributes of both parents (Sarracenia rubra x Sarracenia minor). Sarracenia x rehderi was discovered by, and eventually named in honor of Wilmington NC pitcher plant lover, Stanley Rehder. Each extremely vigorous, but compact, clump is composed of 14" upright red-blushed pitchers that are produced throughout the growing season. In May and often into June, the very floriferous clumps produce 14" tall alien-like, sweetly-fragrant flowers in the sunset color range.
