This 1985/6 introduction from salvia guru, Dr. Rich Dufresne, won RHS Field Trial Award in 1997. This hybrid, S. greggii x S. lemmonii, makes a large 4-5' wide, dense durable bush, covered with narrow green foliage, then topped with raspberry colored flowers... heavy in spring, sporadically during the summer, then revving up again for another show in the fall.
