Visitors have begged us to propagate this purple flowered texas sage, so here it is. This hybrid occured in the Texas garden of plantsman Scott Ogden (S. lycioides x S. greggii 'Pink Preference') is truly one of the toughest perennials that we have grown. The narrow green leaves cover this shrubby 2' salvia, which is covered for months in spring, then again in fall with hundreds of clear purple flowers...sure to stop visitors in the garden!
