(PP 14,460 expired)(aka: Dysosma majoense) Podophyllum majoense is a stunning mayapple species from the Southern Chinese provinces of Guangxi, Guizhou, Hubei, Sichuan, and Yunnan, where they are found up to 6000' elevation. Podophllum majoense 'Kaleidoscope', from Terra Nova, was the first named clone of the species, but one that has been difficult to obtain for nearly two decades. Each 2' tall stalk is topped with a large, 18" wide, hexagonal, green leaf with a dazzling kaleidoscope pattern of silver surrounded by black. In late summer, the clump is adorned with clusters of large, wine-red flowers hanging just below the leaf.
