Phlox paniculata 'Rene Duval' is a 2015 Plant Delights introduction, a counterpart to Phlox 'Dick Weaver', with which it now partners in the garden. Our plant is named after Rene Duval, the late co-founder of We-Du Nursery. For us, Phlox 'Rene Duval', a selection with Michigan genetics that has thrived for years in central Florida, has been completely mildew-free in trials. Like it's partner, Phlox 'Rene Duval' is also a triploid. Starting in mid-June, the vigorous 4' tall clumps are topped with large flower heads of lavender pink.
