This mildew-free selection of our native garden phlox came from We-Du nursery co-founder Dick Weaver. Dick got it from Sheffield's Nursery in Florida, who got it from their daughter in Michigan. We were so impressed with the phlox in our trials that we named it in Dick's honor. DNA tests also reveal it to be a rarely seen triploid (three sets of chromosomes) form. The 38" tall stalks are topped, starting in late June (NC), with lovely flower heads of rich pink.
