This P. x gloxinioides introduction from Joy Creek in Oregon, has been one of the splendid performers in our garden. The upright stems clothed in finely serrated narrow green leaves are topped in late spring with stunning 2' tall spires of large purple bells, each with a pure white center, which is in turn highlighted with bright violet stripes... stunning in flower! All penstemon hybrids perform best in a well drained site.
