From Bruce Meyers comes this new penstemon hybrid between the less hardy Mexican P. gentianoides and a hardier Rocky Mountain species. The result is a delightful selection with narrow leaves on P. gentianoides-like sprawling plants. Throughout the spring, the clumps are topped with small bright red bells (RHS 64B). Good drainage is essential on all of the beard tongues. P. 'Red Rocks' is a Plant Select (R) Award winner for the mountain and plains states!
