This superb new Krekler-Klehm hybrid has been one of the real stars in our heat tolerance trials. Each vigorous clump produces dozens of flower spikes once established. The May-borne (in NC) cactus-dahlia type flowers are composed of frilly white petals suffused with chartreuse at the base of the petals and pink toward the tips. This is destined to be a star in the South where peonies are often just a pipe dream.
