Nolina lindheimeriana is another of the lesser known native Texas evergreen bear grasses; named after the grandfather of Texas botany, Jacob Lindheimer (1801-1879). Nolina lindheimeriana forms an attractive, open specimen of 30" long, stiff green leaves. Mature clumps are topped with 3' spikes of airy, tiny white flowers in late spring. Like most bear grasses, Nolina lindheimeriana is exceptionally drought tolerant once established.
