Marshallia graminifolia 'Georgetown' is a 2025 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a Zac Hill/Patrick McMillan accession, grown from a seed collection in Georgetown, SC. Marshallia graminifolia is a coastal plain endemic, found from NC to Georgia, where it forms a short basal rosette of narrow, linear foliage, that's topped with 20" tall flowers spikes, starting for us in early-to-mid June. Each spike is topped with a frilly, lavender and white button-like flower. In the wild, grass-leaf Barbara buttons grow in full sun, seasonally-flooded, but always moist, sandy soils, along with pitcher plants.
