This strange moneywort is native to coastal regions from India to Japan. In nature, it often behaves as a clumping biennial. The bright red stems, clothed with shiny green leaves make a perfect foil to the dense pink flower clusters from May- July. We have not yet tried this in our display gardens, so enjoy the chance to grow it along with us. The seed for our plants were collected on Okayama, Japan.
