This Japanese introduction is poised to take American gardeners by storm. This mild-mannered selection of the attractive but thug-like L. clethroides is the answer to our prayers. L. 'Geisha' offers 2' tall stalks of foliage, edged with a jagged, creamy yellow margin that has worked to slow the aggressive nature of gooseneck to a shadow of its former self. Topping the plants in late summer are the superb 1' long, nodding white racemes of flowers that have made gooseneck such a garden favorite. There's nothing like a "Geisha" to brighten your garden!
