    This wonderful species that makes up the "martagon" complex is one that we saw quite often during our 1997 Korean Expedition. It has proven to be a great garden plant, and we are delighted to finally be able to share. The 3' tall stems are clothed with whorled leaves and topped in June with large upfacing bright orange flowers. For us, this has grown well in all but wet sites.
