This splendid 1998 introduction from Canada's Fred Tarlton is a Lilium martagon hybrid whose 4' tall charcoal black stems are topped in mid-June with up to 16 pendent, blackberry wine-red (RHS 63A) flowers. L. 'Sarcee' is considered to be the best dark flowered of the L. martagon hybrids...simply stunning!
