(syn: L. tenuifolium) What a darling plant! When we first grew this in our rock garden, more than a few visitors stopped in amazement. The dainty looking 2' tall stalks are topped with about 20-30 brilliant scarlet-orange down-facing turks cap-like flowers. For us, L. pumilum flowers in late April to early May. Good drainage is essential for best performance.
