Lavandula 'Bridget Chloe', from Georgia's John Hendon, has proven to be an exceptional lavender in our trials, which is nearly unheard of in the heat, humidity, and summer rains of the Southeast US. Although Lavandula 'Bridget Chloe' was patented as a sport of Lavandula 'Provence', we think it's much more likely a seedling from that cultivar. The leaf spot-resistant, grey foliage clothes the 30" tall x 5' wide, compact clump. The plants, which exude a lavender fragrance as the wind blows, are smothered from mid-June (NC) through early summer with over 250 flower spikes of vivid purple flowers. In 2021, Lavandula 'Bridget Chloe was awarded the Gold Award of Excellence by the International Perfume Foundation. We think you're going to love this as much as we and the bumblebees do.
