Lamium orvala 'Silva'

We picked up this splendid plant from Joe Sharmon of Monksilver Nursery in the UK, and have been absolutely thrilled with its performance in trials as far north as Minnesota where it breezed through -25 degrees F. The 2' wide x 18" tall clump of heavily textured spade-shaped leaves are each highlighted with a band of silver down the center. Beginning in mid-April for us, the clumps are adorned with clusters of bright pink snapdragon-like flowers at each leaf axil. This is a stunning and amazingly overlooked gem for the woodland garden.
