This wonderful spreading, but well behaved, groundcover features quarter-sized fuzzy leaves of shimmering silver surrounded by a contrasting border of green. Emerging from a winter rosette, lamium begins to expand as the temperatures rise above freezing. By late April for us, the clumps are smothered with white, snapdragon-like flowers which last for months. This is the most heat-tolerant of the lamiums that we grow. Although it will reseed in rich organic soils, it's hard to ever have enough!
