I can't think of a better way to brighten the woodland garden than with a ground cover of L. 'Pale Peril'. From Monksilver Nursery in the UK, where it got its name, this delightful ground cover has attractive fuzzy green spade-shaped leaves (1"). The neat difference in this selection is that the new growth all turns bright yellow. The contrast is superb, even before the stems are adorned with white parrot head-like flowers during the spring months. L. 'Pale Peril' prefers a slightly moist soil for best growth. Even the seedlings, of which we never get enough, are identical to the parent.
