As we can best determine, this is the first US offering of this splendid giant poker from England's famed gardener/garden writer, Beth Chatto. For us, it has proved to be the most imposing of the pokers that we grow. The flower spikes emerge from the grey green foliage in June and climb to 7' tall before opening orange. After the 1' tall spikes have opened, the bottom 1" of the flower head turns bright yellow. This is sure to be the conversation piece in any perennial border!
