Been looking for something big, bold, and bodacious...plantwise? We are pleased to offer one of the most prized of the kniphofia species and one that is always in short supply. It was great to see Kniphofia northiae in the wild at South Africa's only ski resort (Tiffendell) in the spring of 2005. In situ, huge colonies of these grew in soggy soil, lining the edge of a cold mountain stream. K. northiae has also performed well even in our dry sand and hot weather. The 6' wide clumps are topped in late spring with short, but thick orange pokers. Get yours while they last.
