    Found in 1950, and introduced by Hoogeveen Nursery of Holland in 1965, this sport of J. squamata 'Meyeri' has got to be one of the finest juniper selections every introduced. The nice compact mounds to 15" tall x 24" wide in ten years sports three dimensional silvery blue needles make an outstanding specimen. J. 'Blue Star' is great en masse or as a specimen in the rock garden.
