Hydrangea arborescens 'Mini Mauvette' is another fabulous selection of the native smooth hydrangea, from Dr. Tom Ranney, and his breeding team at NC State University. This darker pink-flowered companion to Hydrangea arborescens 'Spirit' is smothered in terminal flower heads for us, starting in early June. Our plants have topped out at 4' tall x 5' wide.
