This is another of our 1997 wild accessions of H. venusta, from 2,500' elevation on Korea's famed Cheju Island. This population was discovered by Darrell Probst in a patch of dry woods near the volcanic crater. Under garden conditions, this clump has proved to have larger than normal leaves and is slightly stoloniferous (spreading). In June, the parent clump has shown a tendency to produce branched 20" tall scapes of lavender flowers.
