Hosta 'Tongue Lashing' is a 2018 Plant Delights Nursery introduction, created from a complex series of crosses involving Hosta 'Blue Mouse Ears', venusta, kikutii, longipes 'Tardiflora', rupifraga, plantaginea, and sieboldiana. The small, elegant, rock garden-sized 6" tall x 15" wide clumps are composed of dark green, narrow, twisted leaves. Starting in mid-July, the clumps are topped with a stunning floral display. The 18" tall spikes are topped with attractive dark purple flowers, starting for us in mid-July.
