Hosta 'Hope Springs Eternal' is a new Hans Hansen hybrid that struck me when I first saw it at Walters Gardens. It reminds me of the classic Hosta 'Liberty', but with very ruffled leaf edges, adding to the garden elegance. The clumps mature at 22" tall x 4' in width. The near-white flowers adorn the 6.5' tall flower scapes in late spring. The genetics include Hosta 'Niagara Falls, 'Neptune', Hosta x tardiana 'Fulda', and Hosta rupifraga.
