(aka: Amaryllis 'Charisma') From Holland's Penning Breeders comes Hippeastrum 'Charisma' (mistakenly called amaryllis), which has been a standout in our winter hardiness trials. Hippeastrum 'Charisma' produces large 10" flowers, starting in mid-May (NC). Each flower is bicolored white and red...the lower three petals are mostly white with some red flecking while the upper three petals are mostly red with some white flecking. It sounds strange, but it's really quite a stunning selection that we are glad to be able to share. Our plants are all potted and growing.
