xHippeastrelia 'Volcano' is a 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a 2005 seedling that we selected from the old Indian clone, xHippeastrelia 'Durga Pradhan'. This excellent re-flowering form of the bi-generic hybrid between Hippeastrum and Sprekelia, starts for us in mid-May and sporadically through the summer, producing 2-3 flowers atop each 11" stalk. The flowers are a reddish pink, heavily streaked with white. xHippeastrelia 'Volcano' is the most compact and heaviest flowering hippeastrelia that we've ever grown. We have exhausted our stock block for this introduction, so don't expect to see this offered again for many years.
