(Hepatica japonica) We are thrilled to be able to once again offer the hard-to-find Japanese liverleaf to keen shade gardeners. From the sea side of the Japanese island of Honshu comes this wonderful little evergreen for the woodland garden. The glossy, three-lobed, semi-evergreen leaves are often marked with darker green patterns. In very early spring, the dainty 3" tall stalks terminate with dime-sized flowers that hover over the clump. Our offering represents selected pink/carmine flowered forms.
