    This hard-to-find species from the Far East is one of the earliest flowering and one of the most fragrant daylilies. In early April, the clumps are topped just above the strap-like foliage with pure orange flowers with a lovely reddish brown pattern on the flower backs. For us, this has proven to be a very durable and reliable addition to the spring border.
