This seed strain of the Helleborus argutifolius x Helleborus lividus hybrid, known as Helleborus x sternii, was originally raised by Lady Scott of England. The 18" tall upright stalks of Helleborus x sternii 'Boughton Beauty' retains the compact habit, attractively marked grey-silver leaves, and purple-pink suffusion of its Helleborus lividus parent while inheriting some of the hardiness and vigor of Helleborus argutifolius. The clumps are topped with clusters of greenish-pink flowers in early winter...a neat specimen hellebore for the woodland garden.
