    The dark green, glossy, evergreen, finger-like leaves emerge from the ground on short stems. Beginning near Christmas, they produce pure-white, single rose-like flowers on 6" stems and are unaffected by cold temperatures. Our plants are seed grown and shipped in the pots (except where prohibited), eliminating the usual transplant woes. H. niger is great in the well-drained woodland, either as a specimen or in a mass planting.
