This new introduction is a seed strain that we have saved from a narrow leaf selection of H. foetidus that begins flowering for us in early October (nearly 2 months before other forms). Our original plant came from the garden of hellebore guru, John Elsley. H. 'Autumn Moon' has the same dark green finger-like leaves, topped with large clusters of green bells, but is a splendid new way to add fall excitement to a woodland garden.
