(aka: Helleborus 'Coseh 890') Simply incredible...the new standard in Helleborus niger hybrids. Helleborus 'Maestro', derived from a cross of Helleborus niger and Helleborus lividus, produces a compact 14" tall x 2' wide clump of evergreen foliage with each leaf intricately woven with silver veins...most prominent in early spring. Mature clumps of Helleborus 'Maestro' are topped, starting in late January (NC), with literally hundreds of stalks of rosy pink, outfacing, sterile (no seed) flowers. For us, Helleborus 'Maestro' flowers several weeks earlier than Helleborus 'Pink Frost'.
