Thriving on neglect, this cute little bulb from our Southwest US neighbors is one for those who manage to kill everything. Soon after summer rains, this small clump of narrow, flattened, glossy green foliage gives rise to 8" stalks ending in nickel sized, yellow orange flowers. The inside of the flower is highlighted by a dramatic brown throat, while the outside is netted with copper veins giving the coppery appearance to the flower...incredibly cute in a mass planting...great for making color combinations that will make your neighbors want to leave town!
