Habranthus 'Candy Cane' is a 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a sterile Habranthus robustus hybrid seedling that we've found to be quite exceptional. The large, full flower emerges with very dark pink streaked petals toward the tip, which lighten to pink as the flower ages. The color stands out against the small, but intensely dark raspberry central eye. For us, the flowering season starts in mid-July and continues into September after each rain event. It's taken us a decade to build up enough to share, so don't expect a catalog return engagement anytime soon.
