Gladiolus 'Spring Maid' is a hardy 1961 heirloom gladiolus hybrid from the long-time New Jersey gladiolus breeder Alex Summerville. Gladiolus 'Spring Maid' is an early-flowering hybrid which starts in very early June (NC) with sturdy 4' tall stalks of flowers that start as green buds and open to nicely ruffled flowers whose lower petals are light yellow while the upper petals remain white.
