    Another of the macrorrhizum types, G. 'Walter Ingwersen' fits nicely into a soft color scheme in the partially shaded garden. In early spring a long procession of large pale pink flowers are produced, held above the fuzzy apple green foliage. In winter, the evergreen foliage remains partially takes on a reddish cast. A substantial and symmetrical clump for mid-front border.
