Filipendula camtschatica 'Summer Snow' is a 2021 Plant Delights/JLBG introduction of a 2012 seed collection from Hokkaido, Japan that has thrived in our hot, humid summers. The bone-hardy Siberian native Filipendula camtschatica forms a stunning 7' tall clump, adorned with deeply-textured, rodgersia-like foliage. By mid-May (NC), the ground hugging rosette has expanded upward to 7' tall and is topped by beautiful frothy white floral sprays. For us, having any Siberian plants survive for us is quite rare, but Filipendula 'Summer Snow' has thrived in our baking sun, while growing in humus-rich, slightly moist soil.
