This new Terra Nova introduction is a cross of Euphorbia amygdaloides 'Rubra' and E. amygdaloides var. robbiae. The result is a 20" tall euphorbia with dark green leaves that emerge with a dark maroon cast. Atop the foliage in early spring are stunningly large, 8" tall flower spikes of bright yellow, which later age to an attractive orange...a nice contrast with the emerging new foliage. Like E. amygdaloides var. robbiae, it makes a slowly spreading colony, so give it some room.
