This is still a rarely offered species, collected in the Mexican mountains (coll #50-18) by our friends at Yucca Do Nursery and Peckerwood Gardens. This SPECTACULAR eryngium is armed to the "teeth" with silver spines on the sides of each waxy green leaf, and a double row of spines down the top...heck, it probably has spines on the roots! The 18" flower stalks top the clumps...great in the anti-social part of your garden. Architecturally stunning!
