This hybrid (E. perralderianum x E. pinnatum ssp. colchicum) is a spreader at the rate of 5-6" per year, making it the perfect woodland groundcover. The glossy dark green foliage (evergreen from zone 7 south) is topped in early spring with leafless stalks of small bright yellow flowers with maroon markings inside.
