This has been a very exciting new discovery, a naturally occurring hybrid discovered in Sichuan Province at 6,000' elevation. Although still being studied, epimedium guru Darrell Probst thinks this is probably a cross between two dwarf species, E. platypetalum and E. pauciflorum. The spiny (epimedium spines...not agave spines) leaves adorn this runner, topped in late spring with masses of 1' long spikes of small golden yellow flowers. Visitors to the nursery last year ALL asked about this one, so stop already...you can get it now!
