Epimedium franchetii 'Lemon Drop' is our selection of the easy-to-grow, early flowering, clump-forming fairy wing from Hubei and Guizhou Provinces of China, that has only recently been introduced into cultivation in the US. The first stalks of Epimedium franchetii 'Lemon Drop' to emerge in spring are clothed with light bronze-emerging 5" long leaves and topped with terminal clusters of large, lemon-yellow flowers, each backed by creamy yellow sepals that resemble giant floating spiders. We recommend cutting back the evergreen foliage of Epimedium franchetii in early spring if it has become tattered during the winter.
